City Plan Commission Meeting 01/11/2023 – Will Update Fee-In-Lieu Of Land Dedication Rules

The City Plan Commission is meeting 01/11/2023 at 3:30PM.

They have one item on the agenda which is a public hearing and then an associated action item to update the section of Municipal Code related to how the city handles the fee-in-lieu of land dedication.

If I’m understanding correctly, the city essentially charges developers a fee when issuing them a building permit which is then used by the city to defray the cost of purchasing public park land in the expanding areas of the city. The rules around these fees were last updated around 13 years ago so the city would like to update them again.
