The City Plan Commission is meeting 08/24/2022 at 3:30PM.
There are three action items on the agenda.
The first is a request to remove an existing car wash and construct a new carwash near the corner of Northland and Ballard. [This location is not on the south side of Appleton near the conflux of carwashes nor is it a brand new carwash located inside a mall. Additionally, it is already the site of a currently constructed car wash, so one would think, perhaps, this request is not going to be controversial, but we will see.]
They will also be voting on a request to rezone a parcel on Ballard Road from an M-2 General Industrial District to a C-2 General Commercial District. Last month a related variance was brought before the Board of Zoning Appeals in order to allow the lot to comply with the C-2 General Commercial district standards so that this rezoning request could be granted. The Board of Zoning Appeals did end up approving the variance request, so the property owner is now moving forward with the rezoning request.
Finally, the commission will be reviewing the Downtown Appleton Business Improvement District 2023 Operating Plan and voting on a request to approve that plan.
