This coming week may be very short of meetings, but it will be very heavy on mayoral proclamations. The one City of Appleton government meeting will be the Common Council meeting on 04/06/2022. At that meeting, Mayor Woodford will present 6 mayoral proclamations.
The first proclaims April 29, 2022 to be Arbor Day in Appleton. Mayor Woodford encourages “residents to celebrate Arbor Day, support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands, and plant trees to gladden the heart and promote the wellbeing of this and future generations.”
With the second, Mayor Woodford proclaims April 3-9, 2022 at Library Week in Appleton and encourages “all residents to visit the current library one last time before its last day of service on April 12 and to join us at our temporary site at 2411 S. Kensington Drive.” In the meantime, he encourages “patrons to join in the programming that will occur throughout the community, continue to access the library’s website and electronic resources, and look forward to the new library’s grand opening in the fall of 2023.”
Mayor Woodford uses the third to proclaim the week of April 4-10 as Public Health Week in Appleton and encourages “residents to celebrate Public Health Week and support vaccination efforts to protect against COVID-19.”
With the fourth, he proclaims April 2022 to be Autism Acceptance Month in Appleton and encourages “residents to participate in programs and outreach efforts aimed toward educating and supporting ASD awareness.”
