Parks And Recreation Committee Meeting 03/21/2022 – Will Receive Update On Projects And On Seasonal Employee Employment Incentives

The Parks and Recreation Committee is meeting 03/21/2022 at 6:30PM.

They have no action items on the agenda, but they do have two information items.

The first is regarding Parks and Recreation seasonal employee incentives. Due to the tight job market, the city is having difficulty attracting and retaining seasonal staff for some of the summer programs. They would like to combat that by offering some employment incentives including:

• Hiring Bonus – $100 (Must work through July 31st)
• Retention Bonus – $100 (Must work through August 26th)
• An increase of $1 per each hour worked on Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Referral Bonus – $50 for each person referred and hired
• An increase of $1 per hour during the months of April, September, and October

Although this is an information item for the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting, it is an action item for the Finance Committee to vote on.

In addition to that, the committee will be receiving updates on Parks and Recreation projects.
