On 01/12/2022 Appleton recorded 137 confirmed coronavirus cases and 170 probable cases. Active cases rose by 26 to 257. Cases out of isolation increased by 281 to 17,246. Deaths remained unchanged at 79.
The 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is currently 230 points higher than it was on this day last year. At the same time, the other metrics remain quite low. Appleton currently only has 257 active cases as compared to 692 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and January 12, Appleton recorded 53 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to only 16 such deaths during that same timeframe this year. Last year at this time the deathrate for known confirmed and probable cases was 0.79% while this year it currently stands at 0.17%.
