Covid Tests Take 3-5 Business Days To Come Back

It looks like Covid test results are currently slow to come back. Per the Appleton Health Department, PCR test results can take 3-5 business days.

The other day a reader asked why active cases continued to stay low in the face of so many daily new cases. My understanding is that the long wait times to receive results coupled with the CDC’s new, much shorter, 5 day isolation recommendations means that by the time many people have received their results back they have already exited the isolation period.
