On 01/10/2022 Appleton recorded 140 confirmed cases and 27 probable cases. Active cases rose by 14 to 212. Cases out of isolation increased by 152 to 16,756. Deaths increased by 1 to 79.
The 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is nearly 200 points higher this year than on this day last year. Active cases are still lower, however, at only 212 this year as compared to 760 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and January 10, Appleton recorded 52 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to only 16 such deaths during that same timeframe this year.
