Committee business is starting to get back to normal after the Christmas and New Years holidays. The Finance Committee is meeting 01/10/2022 at 5:30PM.
They have multiple information items regarding construction projects and change orders. They also have 6 action items.
The action items that look to be of most interest are…
(1) 2021 budget amendments related to the vaccination clinic and Covid response. These amendments look to be recording grant funds and reimbursements received for various Covid-19 related services and items.
(2) A request to award a contract for brand development services as well as additional implementation preparation services to Unlisted, LLC for a total of $88,840. Unlisted had the 3rd lowest cost proposal. Insight Marketing actually scored the highest and had the second lowest fees; however, per the memo, “the review committee agreed that the presentation of their proposal was lacking too much aesthetically and therefore disqualified them for further consideration. After interviewing both All Together Studio and Unlisted, LLC – the majority of the review committee favored Unlisted.”
As you may recall, the city had allocated $50,000 to conduct a brand study. Unlisted’s fee structure includes $58,700 for brand development and then $30,140 for brand implementation.
(3) A request to award a contract for $484,862 to Northeast Asphalt to construct a pickleball complex at Telulah Park. As you may recall, in 2021, Mary Beth Nienhaus offered to pay up to $500,000 toward the construction of a pickleball complex which would be named the “Mary Beth Nienhaus Pickleball Complex.”
