On 01/06/2022 Appleton recorded 217 confirmed coronavirus cases and 144 probable cases. Active cases dropped by 13 to 159. Cases out of isolation increased by 374 to 15,723. Deaths remained unchanged at 78.
The 7-day running average of confirmed cases is 68.86 points higher than on this day last year and for confirmed and probable cases combined is 107.29 points higher. Active cases remain quite low, however, at 159 this year as compared to 660 on this day last year. Deaths also remain quite low. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and January 6, Appleton had 52 deaths as compared to only 15 during that same timeframe this year.
