On 11/22/2021 Appleton recorded 22 confirmed cases and 11 probable cases. Active cases decreased by 27 to 410. Cases out of isolation increased by 60 to 12,104. (My assumption is that the person who entered the information on the dashboard inadvertently transposed the “Active” and “Out of Isolation” numbers.) Deaths remained unchanged at 74.
Appleton’s current 7-day running average of confirmed cases is 44.71 and of confirmed and probable cases is 60.57. This compares to a confirmed case 7-day running average on this day last year of 48.57. (Appleton did not start recording probable cases until 11/23/2020.) Appleton currently has 410 active cases as compared to 671 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and November 22, Appleton recorded 37 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to 11 such deaths this year.
