On 11/16/2021 Appleton recorded 76 confirmed coronavirus cases and 29 probable cases. Active cases rose by 79 to 422, and cases out of isolation increased by 26 to 11,774. Deaths remained unchanged at 73.
Appleton’s current 7-day running average of confirmed cases is 44.29 and of confirmed and probable cases combined is 58.86. Last year on this day, the 7-day running average of confirmed cases alone was 53.71. (Appleton did not start recording probable cases until 11/23/2020.) As you can see, Appleton’s current combined confirmed and probable 7-day running average has risen above last year’s 7-day running average of confirmed cases only. Appleton’s current running average of confirmed cases only is still lower than last year at this time, but those numbers too are getting closer to each other.
Appleton currently has 422 active cases as compared to 727 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and November 16, Appleton had 32 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to 10 such deaths during that same timeframe this year.
