The weekend coronavirus numbers are now available. As per usual, the new confirmed and probable cases listed on the Dashboard are only for 1 day, so I’ve noted on the screenshot was the full 3-day totals were.
From 10/08/2021-10/10/2021, Appleton recorded 53 confirmed coronavirus cases and 21 probable cases. Active cases rose by 21 to 279. Cases out of isolation increased by 53 to 10,460. Deaths remained unchanged at 68. We are now on the 30th day in a row with no new deaths.
Appleton’s current 7-day running average of confirmed cases is 27.43 and of confirmed and probable combined is 35.57. Both of those are lower than where Appleton was last year on this day when the 7-day running average of confirmed cases was 52.57. (Appleton did not start tracking probable cases until 11/23/2020.) Appleton currently has 279 active cases as compared to 755 active cases on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and October 10, Appleton recorded 11 deaths with/from coronavirus, as compared to 5 deaths during that same timeframe this year.
Over the course of last week, Appleton recorded 192 confirmed cases and 57 probable cases for a combined total of 249. When combined with the previous week’s totals of 152 confirmed and 76 probable, this puts Appleton’s 2-week burden per 100,000 residents at 459 when calculated using confirmed cases only and 636 when including probable cases. Both of those numbers continue to fall in the “Very High” burden category.
Over the entire course of the pandemic, from 03/18/2020 to 10/10/2021, 14.41% of Appleton residents have had either a confirmed or probable case of coronavirus. 0.09% of Appleton residents have died with/from coronavirus. 85.59% have either not gotten coronavirus or have not had a case that warranted seeking testing.
