Pictures from the two counter gatherings tonight around the Board of Education meeting.
The first two pictures are from the “AASD Thank You Rally” outside the Appleton Area School District Leadership Center in Downtown Appleton where community members gathered to show their appreciation for the school district and the Board of Education.
The last three pictures are of the group of parents who gathered at Freedom Project Academy. Since the Board of Education has declined to facilitate public in-person group attendance and public comment at board meetings, this group of parents decided to gather together off-site as a group to provide virtual public comment in opposition to mandatory masking.
