On 09/16/2021 Appleton recorded 42 confirmed cases and 16 probable cases. The dashboard still has a note saying, “Reported data may appear artificially low due to a system performance issue,” but these numbers don’t look particularly low. Active cases rose by 39 to 200. Cases out of isolation increased by 19 to 9,710. Deaths remained unchanged at 68.
Our current 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is 28.29 and the 7-day running average of confirmed cases only is 20.14. This compares to a 7-day running average of confirmed cases of 31.86. (Appleton did not start recording probable cases until 11/23/2020). We currently have 200 active cases as compared to 243 on this day last year. Last year between March 28 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and September 16 Appleton saw 8 deaths with/from coronavirus. This year during that same time frame we have had 5 deaths with/from coronavirus.
