On 09/13/202 Appleton recorded 2 confirmed coronavirus cases and 5 probable cases. There continues to be a system performance issue which, per the dashboard, is resulting in artificially low data. It will be interesting to see how much they jump up once the issue is resolved. Active cases rose by 5 to 138. Cased out of isolation increased by 2 to 9,643. Deaths remained unchanged at 68.
Appleton’s current 7-day running average for confirmed and probable cases is 20.86 and the average for confirmed cases only is 12.86. This compares to a 7-day running average of confirmed cases on this day last year of 22.71. (Appleton didn’t start recording probable cases until 11/23/2021.) Appleton currently has 138 active cases as compared to 255 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and September 13, Appleton recorded 8 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to 5 deaths during that same timeframe this year.
