Here are some pictures from Alderperson Sheri Hartzheim’s (District 13) press conference and anti-mask protest outside the Appleton Area School District’s Leadership Office in downtown Appleton. I estimate that, over the course of the event there were 60-70 people who appeared on the “masks optional” side (though I would not say it was a sustained 70 for the entire time) and about 6 who appeared on the “pro mask mandate” side. One man showed up and spent a minute or two berating the masks optional protesters from across the street and some protesters did go and talk with him, but no violence broke out and the event was peaceful.
