On 09/07/2021 Appleton recorded 16 confirmed coronavirus cases and 15 probable cases. Active cases dropped by 48 to 182. Cases out of isolation rose by 79 to 9,485. Deaths remained unchanged at 67.
Our current 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is 22 and the 7-day running average of confirmed cases only is 14.14. That compares to a 7-day running average of confirmed cases on this day last year of 17. (Appleton didn’t start tracking probable cases until 11/23/2020.) We currently have 182 active cases as compared to 220 on this day last year. Last year we had 8 deaths between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded cases) and September 7 as compared to only 4 during that timeframe this year.
