On 09/01/2021 the Common Council voted 14-0 to approve Mayor Woodford’s recommended appointments to the Appleton Redistricting Committee.
As outlined in his memo to the Council, the committee is composed of 10 members, 5 of whom serve by virtue of their roles and 5 alderpersons who are appointed.
The role-based members are
- City Clerk Kami Lynch
- City Attorney Christopher Behrens
- Mayor Woodford
- The City Assessor
- Appleton’s Geographic Information System Specialist
The Alderpersons recommended for appointment to the committee by Mayor Woodford were
- Matt Reed (District 8), Council President
- Katie Van Zeeland (District 5), Council Vice Presidents
- Vered Meltzer (District 2)
- William Siebers (District 1)
- Michael Smith (District 10)
The appointments were approved unanimously without discussion.
