On 09/01/2021 Appleton recorded 25 confirmed coronavirus cases and 12 probable cases. Active cases rose by 21 to 232. Cases out of isolation increased by 15 to 9,319. After 119 days with no deaths, Appleton did record 1 death with/from coronavirus bringing our total to 66.
Our current 7-day running average of new and probable cases is 26.14. Our current 7-day running average of confirmed cases only is 16.43. This compares to a 7-day running average of confirmed cases on this day last year of 14.57. (Appleton did not start tracking probable cases until the middle of November 2020 so I don’t have a combined running average for last year.) Current active cases stand at 232 as compared to 196 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the date of Appleton’s first recorded coronavirus case) and September 1, Appleton had 8 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to only 3 such deaths during the same timeframe this year.
