Our current 7-day running average of new confirmed and probable cases stands at 21.29 as compared to 7.57 on this day last year. Current active cases are 173 as compared to 184 on this day last year. Deaths continue to be down markedly compared to last year. In 2020 between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and August 26, 8 people died with/from coronavirus. This year during that time frame we’ve only had 2 deaths, 1/4th of the deaths at this time last year.
