The current 7-day running average of new cases is 21.43 as compared to 6.57 on this day last year. Active cases currently stand at 209 as compared to 199 on this day last year. Deaths, however, continue to remain markedly lower this year compared to last year. Last year between 03/18 (the date of Appleton’s first confirmed coronavirus cases) and August 16 there were 6 deaths as compared to only 2 during that same time frame this year.
