On 08/12/2021 Appleton recorded 2 confirmed coronavirus cases and 0 probably cases. Active cases rose by 2 to 109. Cases out of isolation remained unchanged at 8,946. Of particular note is the fact that Appleton has now gone 100 days without a death which is the longest stretch since Appleton saw its first case. Deaths remain at 65 total since the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020.
The current 7-day running average of new cases is 12.14 as compared to 9 last year. Active cases currently sit at 109 as compared to 189 last year. Last year between March 18 (the date of our first known Covid case) and August 12, Appleton had 6 people die from or with Covid. This year during that timeframe the number is only 2.
