Appleton Faced With Sudden Life Guard Shortage Due To Discovery That Staff Members Are Not Fully Certified

The City of Appleton has just reported on their Parks and Recreation Facebook page that they are facing staffing shortages at Mead Pool. Apparently, they just learned yesterday that not all of the lifeguards they hired were property certified. Parks and Rec pulled all non-certified life guards and “will only operate pools if appropriately staffed with certified lifeguards.”

They are working to get all life guards fully certified. “Mead Pool will remain closed until next week due to the staffing shortage. Erb Pool will be open with fully certified lifeguards on duty.”
