The Task Force on Resiliency, Climate Mitigation, and Adaptation is meeting 05/19/2021 at 5pm both in person in the City Council Chambers and via MS Teams.
This committee meeting has not traditionally been recorded, so, for the most part, the public has to rely on the agenda and the minutes to know what’s going on.
They will be having some sort of discussion regarding “EHSE planning process”. My guess is that this is about the Library, but the agenda doesn’t actually state that explicitly. The minutes for the May 5, 2021 meeting indicated that “the taskforce was not invited to the first two and some following meeting between the consultant and the City staff. Teresa Weglarz propose[d] that we request to be allowed to attend to participate or at least observe. Terry Dawson will confer with Dean Gazza about this proposal.” [One hopes this doesn’t lead to an increase in the library project costs.]
There will also be some kind of discussion or presentation regarding the Appleton League of Women Voters’ Climate Resilience Positions.
They’ll also be discussing the Wisconsin Conservation Voters 5/6 and 5/27 session.
