Common Council Meetings Scheduled for 04/21/2021 At 6PM and 7PM

The Common Council will be meeting 04/21/2021 at 7PM.

This meeting will immediately follow the formal organizational meeting at 6PM.

Some items of note. During the organizational meeting the committee members and committee chairs will be appointed; the Council members will elect a president and a vice president; and the Council members will recommit to the Code of Conduct.

During the Common Council meeting proper, Mayor Woodford will present some commission and board reappointments as well as his Arbor Day and Earth Day proclamations. There will also be a Covid-19 update.

Obviously, one never knows ahead of time which items from the committees Council members will ask to be separated out for an individual vote. I would expect the resolution banning the sale of cats and dogs by pet stores would be one of those items as will the the resolution condemning racism against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
