The Appleton Redevelopment Authority is meeting 04/14/2021 at 9AM.
There is only one action item which is a request to approve reappointments to the Expo Center Advisory Committee. They will also be welcoming former state Assembly Representative Amanda Stuck to the ARA Committee.
Beyond that, there are a bunch of information items/presentations including
- A report from Expo Center Advisory Committee
- An update on the development at 318 W. College Avenue
- An overview of request for proposals to create a College Avenue North Neighborhood Plan [My recollection is that they had been trying to brand the Library/Transit area as “Washington Square”. Perhaps this effort will be more successful in turning it into something.]
- An update on the Library redesign request for proposals process [This just appears to be a rehash of what has happened up until this point and has been reported at other committee meetings.]
- An overview of Downtown development projects
- An update on 222 N. Oneida Street [At one point in this property’s history, it had been a gas station and the soil is contaminated. The city is planning to exercise it’s right to do nothing to remediate that until they have a better idea of what they want to develop the property into.]
- An update on City-wide ARA Business Enhancement Grants
There will also be a reminder of the Community Input Meeting On Downtown Streetscape Design Guide scheduled for April 15 from 6-8PM.
