The Municipal Services Committee is scheduled to meet 04/13/2021 at 5PM.
They have three action items on the agenda.
1. Voting on a sole source contract with Patrick Engineering for professional services needed to complete the Wastewater Electrical Distribution Upgrades Phase 5 (Final Phase).
This is a sole source contract because it is the final phase of a multi phase project that Patrick Engineering was hired to do.
2. Vote on a resolution for the city to declare its intention to levy special assessments for sanitary laterals, storm laterals, and storm mains at various locations.
3. Vote on awarding the 2021F Stormwater Consulting Services Contract for Morrison Street and Glendale Avenue reconstruction to Brown and Caldwell in an amount not to exceed $32,775.
Brown and Caldwell did not submit the lowest bid, but they had a much higher technical score because, per the memo, “they provided a more detailed approach, a larger team of qualified staff with experience on similar City projects, a communications plan with meetings at critical milestones, more hours and a broader scope of design assistance and optional tasks for the City to consider.”
