The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 04/12/2021 at 4:30 PM.
Amongst other items on the agenda are…
A Preliminary Resolution Declaring Intent to Exercise Special Assessment Powers for Concrete Pavement, Driveway Aprons and Sidewalk Construction be adopted and refer the matter to the Finance Committee to determine the assessment rate.
It looks like most of the properties listed are new developments. The city removed most special assessments on existing infrastructure several years ago and now levies them only when installing infrastructure for the first time.
They’ll also be voting on Appvion’s request to install a pedestrian walking sign on Meade Street. Appvion would need to purchase and maintain it so it looks like there would be no cost to the city.
They will also be reviewing the first quarter permit summary. It looks like the number of permits requested and the income from them is up thus far compared to 2020’s first quarter.
