The Appleton Area School District Board Policy Review Committee, is meeting 03/09/2021 at 8:30AM.
They will be reviewing and discussing the current policies surrounding (1) naming school facilities, (2) Sponsorships, and (3) Gifts and Bequests to Schools.
They will then be voting on revising the policy for Naming School District Facilities as well as the Sponsorship Policy.
Revising the facilities naming policy is a necessary step to allow the District to move forward with the proposal to rename Lincoln Elementary “Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary – Home of the Lincoln Lions”. It will be interesting to see if the committee can craft a policy that will not open the doors to renaming the Columbus, Jefferson, Franklin, and Stephen Foster elementary schools.
