The municipal services committee is meeting 02/22/2021 at 4:30 pm.
They’ll be voting to award a contract to provide movable bridge inspections as required by the State of WI. AECOM Technical Services, Inc had the lowest bid.
There’s also a request by Pollenablers USA to implement another No Mow May event, but this year they would like to include a 7 day grace period after the event has ended before people are issued citations for not mowing their yards. [I don’t care one way or the other, but on a practical level doesn’t this just turn No Mow May into No Mow May Plus The First Week Of June?]
The Committee will also be voting on a request “to extend free parking in the Red Ramp for an additional 90 days, during vaccination clinic days only, as part of the community vaccination program at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.”
City staff is also recommending that a request by a homeowner for a second curb cut be denied because his neighbor objects and, per a municipal services report from 1997, a homeowner can only be granted a second curb cut if neither of the neighbors on either side object. I’d be interested in knowing why the neighbor objects. The blueprints don’t indicate anything weird about the project.
