The aldermanic positions for Appleton’s 8 odd-numbered districts are up for election on the April 6 ballot. 6 of those 8 races will be competitive races. District 11 and District 15 are both particularly open because there are no incumbents running in those elections.
Of particular note…Chad Doran, Appleton’s former Communication Coordinator and past mayoral candidate, is running to represent District 15. Sheri Hartzheim is running against District 13 incumbent and Common Council President Kyle Lobner and is also seeking a spot on the Appleton Area School District’s Board of Education, so she will be appearing on the ballot twice.
The League of Women Voters will be holding candidate forums from March 1-March 15 with candidates in each of the races. You can view information and submit questions you would like to see asked on their website.
