The Post Crescent got a hold of Edward Ruffolo.
Per their article, “because Ruffolo had already filed for candidacy in the April election, his name will remain on the ballot. Ruffolo said he does not plan to do any campaigning. He said he’s received ‘threatening letters’ over the last week.
“‘It’s very disappointing for me because I would love to help out at the school board,’ he said, ‘but the scorched earth politics don’t make it worth it.'”
So he is still running since he can’t not run, and he could still be elected, but he will not be actively campaigning.
I am in the process of running down with the school district what would happen if he was elected but declined to take office and will let you know when I learn more.
