The Appleton Public Arts Committee met 01/05/2021 and picked out 12 winners and 4 runner-ups for their “Images of Hope” photo contest.
Winners: #4, #6, #12, #13, #14, #19, #21, #22, #23, #25, and #26
Runner-ups: #18, #27, #41, and #44
Winners get $100 per photo and will have their images cropped to 43″x43″ and displayed in the Houdini Plaza Welcome Tower. Runner-ups get $25 per photo and will have their images displayed in the event that a winner is unable to provide a high resolution copy of their photo.
I gotta say, I really liked photos #12 and #26 but I think both of them will have their composition absolutely butchered by being cropped to squares. Photo #22 is also going to lose a lot by being cropped.
