On 12/29/2020 Appleton reported 34 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 30 new probable cases. 34 confirmed cases is not out of the ordinary, but 30 new probable cases is very high. Up until today, the most probable cases we ever had on one day was 19, and even that was abnormal. My suspicion is that whatever companies were doing the antigen tests that get counted as probable cases were behind on processing due to the holiday and are now getting caught up. Or possibly antigen testing is becoming more popular. We’ll have to keep an eye on that.
Active cases increased by 38. Cases out of isolation increased by 26. There were no new deaths.
