Barry O’Connor was voted to be the new Board of Education Vice President filling the spot left by Leah Olson’s departure. 4 voted for him and 2 voted for Deb Truyman.
It was a private vote. Given that Kay Eggert nominated Barry, one can safely say she voted for him. Deb and Barry each would have voted for themselves. That leaves Kris Sauter, Jim Bowman, and Gary Janke with unknown votes.
To editorialize, I can’t speak to the Board’s intention, but I can think of no choice more custom made to enrage the parents advocating for a return to school.
